On January 15, 2009, the world witnessed the \u201cMiracle on the Hudson\u201d when Captain \u201cSully\u201d Sullenberger glided his disabled plane onto the frigid waters of the Hudson River, saving the lives of all 155 aboard. However, even as Sully was being heralded by the public and the media for his unprecedented feat of aviation skill, an investigation was unfolding that threatened to destroy his reputation and his career.<\/p>\n
\u201cSully\u201d also stars Aaron Eckhart (\u201cOlympus Has Fallen,\u201d \u201cThe Dark Knight\u201d) as Sully\u2019s co-pilot, Jeff Skiles, and Oscar nominee Laura Linney (\u201cThe Savages,\u201d \u201cKinsey,\u201d Showtime\u2019s \u201cThe Big C\u201d) as Sully\u2019s wife, Lorraine Sullenberger. <\/p>\n
Eastwood is directing the film from a screenplay by Todd Komarnicki, based on the book Highest Duty by Sullenberger and Jeffrey Zaslow. The project is being produced by Eastwood, Frank Marshall, Allyn Stewart and Tim Moore, with Kipp Nelson and Bruce Berman serving as executive producers.<\/p>\n
The film reunites Eastwood with several of his longtime collaborators, who most recently worked with the director on the worldwide hit \u201cAmerican Sniper\u201d: director of photography Tom Stern and production designer James J.
